Olive carved the first one from wax and then her and famous bronze sculptor Steven Christman made this mold. They then turned it over to me for manufacturing and marketing.

They hired the Saxons who routed the Picts but then moved into Brittany by the thousands. When the brittans couldn't feed the Saxons it became a war. At one point the Brittan's were able to stave off the invasion and from that stronghold the legend of King Arther came.

This is where I would hang it.

It's one of the knights on the first page of our coloring book. I'm starting to put dates on my paintings. I;m not doing it for posterity or proper record keeping...I'm doing it because I'm surprised I lived this long and now it's a celebration to mark the year.

I just finished this one. I wish I could tell you the title but it has no consonants or vowels in the name so I don't think you can say it. It's nick name is Carl.

Well Olive Rootbeer is cartoonishly fine AND she can paint. How does she do that? The waddle looks 3D the beak shimmers as you walk by and no matter where you are in the room that thing is looking at you!
I'm a good enough painter to decorate a bar bathroom or at best a taco stand but Olive Rootbeer is the real deal.

I had to re pierce my ear for this gag and it didn't show up in the photo!I have a real Pearl earring but it's lost in my beard.

Amazing who you meet on the street. She told me where to deliver it and Olive and I were happy to do it.

We scurried back to the Clown Cave. I strapped her painting on for a last tall bike ride.This is the last way i see lots of paintings. The goodbye good luck roll on the back of the Behemoth.BRRRRRR! It's really cold out.

All of my paintings spend time with me in my space and I find them very valuable. I care when I'm letting them go. This one felt really good. I told it that it was going to have a good life with it's new master.It now will spend time with her.

I thought I would tell you what Olive Rootbeer and I do when we are not painting Chickens!!!

We work as clowns for people like this!!!!!!!

We live in a city that's big enough to support professional clowns who work in the night club environments as well as the kid parties and festivals. We do way more rock shows than birthdays but last night we did both!
The band Chervona! I met them playing at my house 4 years ago when I lived at the Clown House. Thankfully I have been hired to be the MC for many splendid events for them over the years including 4 sweet birthday parties.
You really have to move your body when this band plays. My partner and I only like working for people who are going somewhere and doing something that we can honestly believe in. I am very proud of this intrepid band of minstrels and equally proud that they chose my gang out of so many ding-dongs in this town.
Thankfully the people show up in droves for Chervona shows so it's really exciting in the moments before they arrive.
Believe it or not; Chervona is the kind of band that you can actually feel before you enter the club...and from half a block away!
They radiate so much energy, chaos and extreme goodwill that you feel the urge to jump on the wagon too and sing along even if you don't speak Russian.
This year it was held at their North East Portland stronghold "The Alberta Street Pub". Located around 10th street it's an Acoustic Music Venue/Non-smoking Bar
1036 NE Alberta.

The venue is very popular and it's a showcase for local and touring Blue Grass, folk and on this night Gypsy/Russian booty shaking rock n roll with a brass band flair.
Our job: Decorate/MC the Show(including games, comedy and stunts)/clean up.
Set building and decorating is organized in my world by my partner Olive Rootbeer. She calls the shots and people listen to her...she knows what she wants. I'm in charge of funny, she is a master for details.

I didn't do this to the squeeze box but I wish I did! Archery and polka...what will they think of next?

During the event last night a documentary booth was set up for people to lodge complaints and grievances they may have experienced in Chervona's 4 year history.

Roman is one of my favorite Chervonas. He plays Tuba, bass and hires himself out to give guitar lessons. We got to know each other during a trip to Seattle for a gig and ever since I have been a big fan of his this well rounded musician, professional entertainer and all around classy dude.

Our friend whom we have never actually met has baught her third painting from us. She likes Kong in Blue.

Mailing Kong out: My bike is in front of the post office where i ship art, that greenish building is the place I get paint and canvas. Seems like I'm the middle man (crap) if only the art place could paint rubber chickens then they wouldn't need me!

...I finished this painting "Nuthin's biting".22x28 acrylic on new canvas $85 +shipping online and about $150 in a gallery.

I like the element of impending, irreversible danger of the first order.
Here I made sure to make the sharks mouth pretty close to the size of the boat.
There is no possible escape for our poor fisher bird.
i price my paintings so anyone can own them and also because I like to sell them. It's done according to time and materials like a landscaping job (witch i also do B.T.W.)and I don't add anything for ego.
I looked close; it seems I have repainted many of the original 2005 titles three and sometimes five times over now.
I like when folks go ahead and ask me for the ones I already sold. They still get an original piece of art to threaten people with.

I just got back from mailing "Good Morning" to Kelli in California. It's in the hands of the U.S.P.S. now (it gets there Wed.). I'm really gonna miss this one. Olive did a great Venus flytrap and I'm such a fan of cereal.The background was inspired by my time living in New Mexico, Arizona and Texas.

I miss this painting I did of Martin Luther nailing a rubber chicken to the church doors and creating Lutheranism. I painted the church windows with glow in the dark paint and didn't tell the person who bought it from me. My hope is that they turn the light off at night and get a surprise when the window is glowing. It has since been repainted to replace it in the collection.

We gained a new close friend and an art patron one day when a nice lady saw some of my paintings on my blog and ordered herself and her daughter a couple. Olive and I have been working on them during the rains so we stay productive and the money she sent payed a lot of bills when we were too rained out to get much clown work.
She asked I I would mind re-painting Natures Cruel Mistake for her and I did.

The Original was painted back in 2006 when I was working as a bartender. I wanted to see if I could hide a nude female form in plain sight within the logo.

I ended up selling it faster than I had ever sold a painting and I'm lucky the lady took this photo for me and handed me a disk.

This is the kind of "brain Bucket" they used to guard the affairs of the monarchy up until the end in 1180bc. Of course they didn't have anywhere near the amount of sugar in the cereal then.

30"x40" It's the first of a set of Rubber Chicken Tarot cards that I'm doing.Back in the 90s I crisscrossed this country on foot and hitch hiking. I refused to ever be an able bodied beggar" so I found ways to support myself on the road to discovery. Reading cards in bars was a sweet deal because at the time I was also an alcoholic.
Draw the "Paige of Birds" and it's a warning that a young helper has a message for you.

This is a big painting that I created in 2006 at the Alberta Street Clown House. I got the idea for this one's design after seeing my friend Heather M. at the Star E.Rose and she had a book of ancient costumry.
Eventually I will make all the Tarot cards and always I will use HUGE canvas for them. Maybe I just want to make it hard to shuffle them. MASTERS ONLY! LOL.
